GUEST AUTHOR: THE LIBRARY and BOOK REVIEW: ART & FEAR

Lori R. Storm was raised by wolves in a surprisingly urban environment. She has spent most of her life in Northern California, with brief stints in the Arizona desert, the cornfields of Iowa and a minor stay in Germany. Her background includes an eclectic mix of adventures, including a five-year stint as a long-haul truck driver, another five years living as a rural backwoods-dweller and a number of years as a karate instructor (she holds a 3rd degree black belt in Okinawan karate).

Lori earned a BA with Honors in Creative Writing from UC Davis, has done college textbook editing, copy writing and has been published in the Chico News and Review. She is currently writing for a statewide trade magazine, Vision. You can find her blogging occasionally at http://stormdidit.tumblr.com/

When she is not hunched over a keyboard you may find her on the water, sailing or kayaking, working on art quilts, and otherwise completely avoiding any domestic activities.
