Welcome to the Chico Writer’s Group web site, a place where aspiring authors get the latest information about upcoming workshops, meetings and events. And there’s more, too. Using the category links in the navigation bar you can find some writing prompts, information about punctuation and grammar, writing contests, conferences and workshops held outside of the Chico Writer’s Group and much more.

Are you wanting your work read and commented on but maybe you’re unsure of how “harsh” the critiquing process might be? Are you already signed up to participate but aren’t exactly sure how to go about presenting a critique? Click on the page “Critiquing Tips, Hints and Guidelines” for more information. We ask that all new members read through this information prior to attending their first workshop.
